Project Status
Cobalt is in the early beta stages of development. Below is a breakdown of the current state of each component.
Development Toolkit:
- Compiler: 25% (public beta). Currently only assembles BOS assembly language (BASM) files.
- Decompiler: 20% (public beta). Currently only disassembles COB files into BASM files.
- Debugger: 5%. Many of the concepts are laid out, little actual work has been done.
- IDE: 0%.
- Other: 0%
DLL:
- EXE Patching: public beta. Patches for TotalA.exe will probably always be works in progress.
- DLL: public beta. The DLL will likely be worked on for as long as the COBalt project is active.
Documentation:
- BASM, BOS language extensions, DLL interfacing and other developer related documentation: needs to be re-written for clarity and conciseness.
- DLL usage documentation: needs to be re-written for same reasons.
- Documentation of TA's COB handling code: much is available, more will likely be written.
Other Resources:
- TA Patcher: 35% (public beta). Patch creation, uninstalling, and other features need to be coded.
- AuthKey: 15%. Still in the concept stage.
